Reclaim and Revive YOU!

A gentle empowerment workshop for mums and queer parents emerging out of the trenches after kids.

Start your journey back to you, back into life and work; remember who you are and what matters toYOU now after having a baby or kids.

If you are wondering who the hell you’ve become, what you’ve been through and where the f*%k do you want to go next (think work/life stuff) then this is a session for YOU!

The Reclaim and Revive YOU workshop is a one-off session - 10 am-2.30pm.  It is an ONLINE LIVE group workshop (max 10 places on ZOOM)

I am running this workshop twice in July - choose a date from:

Friday 19th July 10am-2.30pm or

Tuesday 30th July 10am-2.30pm

Insight. Inspiration. Reflection. Fun. Change.

This workshop is for you if…

- You have had a baby or kids, feel ready to shift your focus back to you and would value a facilitated fun safe space because you’re too tired to even think about what your first steps might be.

- You’d value some headspace to get you into the work zone during or just after your maternity/parental leave

- You feel like you’ve lost yourself a bit or a lot - and want to get back on track to see who you are now.

- You feel a bit trapped / stuck / bored / excited or something else (and feel a bit guilty for feeling this way) and need affirmation to connect in with what matters to you now…

- You sense that you need some personal renewal and reflection about your work and life but are not sure where to start

- You definately don’t want any thing to add to your already heavy mental load but you are interested in getting led through a fun reflective process to help you prioritise, strategise and give you focus

- YOU are coming out of the trenches - YES! But what’s on the horizon?

Why am I the right person to lead this work?

Firstly I completely get all of this stuff; I had my 3 kids on my own as a solo mum (they are now 14, 12 and 8) and I vividly remember the sheer bewilderment I felt once each one of my kids had grown a bit and it was time for me to focus back in on myself. Uggg - how and what and why and… and… and…? What was I about any more and what the hell did I want to do with my work and life?

At the same time as this I chaired my Local NCT Branch (Newham) with an incredible gang of community parent volunteers. We built it to an award winning status by developing new and innovative services for parents all aimed at cutting down our isolation and the ridiculous expectations we held of ourselves as parents.

Alongside this I founded and facilitated the Arty Mummas Creative Collective - a ground breaking ‘talking and making’ arty group-work process for new mums. Again the focus of this work was on us as the parents and aimed at sharing experiences, translating ‘the light and the dark’ of parenthood into art, and working together on feeling great about who we were and what we were doing.

This day workshop is designed to help you answer some key questions, sharing with others who have been through the crazy roller coaster of pregnancy and birth to parenthood.

Dates and Fees

I will be running the workshop twice so you can choose the date that works for you.

Friday 19th July 10am-2.30pm or

Tuesday 30th July 10am-2.30pm

Each workshop fee is £50.00 per person

Please contact me if your company or organisation is paying - there is a corporate rate.

If you would like to come to the two sessions then please just book each one separately below.

In this innovative live online workshop we will explore the following;

  1. Becoming and being a parent…What’s it all been like for you

  2. Where have you been in all this – what have you gained and lost?

  3. Who is this new you and what do you like and not like about your new identity?

  4. Where do you need renewal?

  5. What are the first small steps to take you there?

The session is planned as a starting point for you - a jumping-in space. It’s for you if you feel like you are spinning too many plates and could do with some reflection space. Let’s trigger your journey into exploring your next chapter…

What's exciting and different about this workshop?

 - It is based on my 35 years of professional expertise of working with all sorts of people just like you to help you locate and activate what matters next in your career and work life.

- We will talk together in large/small groups and pairs and spend the time discussing everything that matters to you.

- This session is part of a larger group of trainings that I’ve created (have a nosey around the website) and run that are tried and tested. Past participants rave about their experiences and clients have fantastic results. Critical to all my work is the safety that I create for all participants in my groups. People continue to dip in and out of my trainings for many years.

- I am very passionate about helping people like you to understand and explore your recent experience as you’ve become a parent. Doing this workshop will offer you some time and a jumping-off point for the next steps, as you emerge from these early years of childrearing.

- I have run groups for many years, I am in clinical supervision and committed to working with a diversity and trauma-informed framework to ensure groups are safe fun and growthful spaces.

- I will carefully facilitate and hold the space for you and the group to explore, learn, discover and generate new and exciting ideas.

  • The session is 4.5 hours long and we will be online on zoom.

We will work together in pairs/small groups and in the large group. I will tell you the format for the day as you arrive and share the groundrules for the session.

Because you will be online you can have children/babies in arms with you if need be. We will take breaks and have time for drinks and lunch. Please have some food available for yourself.

  • Once you have signed up for the workshop I will send you my usual workshop agreement and the zoom link and we will see each other on the day.

  • This course is open to any and all women, mums and queer identified birthing parents. Inclusivity is very important to me so please do contact me if you wish to discuss anything connected to this space. What is very important is that you connect with the information on here about the session and that it somehow describes where you find yourself to be in life post birth of your baby. The course is for any women/queer parent that feels a ‘YES thats me!’

  • No, however, if you have any questions, you can reach out to me via my website. If you are looking for something more bespoke and face-to-face support and accountability, please get in touch to find out about my one-to-one coaching.

  • Yes totally. I am happy to invoice your organisation for this course - the corporate fee is £150.00 per person

I can also deliver courses like this ‘in-house’. If you think your organisation would like more details about this then please email me on the contact button.

  • You will be missed!

Once you have paid, the fee is not refundable. If you have a friend who could take your place I am happy to transfer the place to them however.

  • The group will be no more than 10.

  • I would suggest (and this may be tricky for some) that if you want to do this programme and you are working full time that you talk to your manager/Board/supervisor about being allowed to take 4.5 hours off as CPD / work-related training or TOIL etc. Employers are far more aware these days of the need for staff to be happy and thinking about their well being, personal and professional development.

  • YES of course....when courses are online this does mean stay at home parents or mums/parents on mat/parental leave can get involved. I am totally used to having kids in the space. I will simply ask you to mute your mic.

  • You will need to have access to zoom for the online session.

  • You will need paper/a notebook/journal and pens

  • Safety in groups is really important for me as a facilitator and I work very hard at the beginning and throughout the session to make sure that we create the right atmosphere and space to make sure everyone feels that you can contribute and be yourself in the group. Everything we do in the programme is private and confidential to the group and we will make a group agreement at the outset that will act as a tight container. I am skilled at supporting less vocal people to get involved and find space in groups.
