What's exciting and different about this course?
- It is based on my 35 years of professional expertise of working with all types of people just like you to help you locate and activate what matters next in your career and work life; my expertise in coaching professional women who come to a realisation that there's a Second Act around the corner but for one reason or another are stuck.
- The programme is tried and tested and it rocks! I've run this programme many times and have had fantastic results for my clients.
- Helping people like you to 'unstick' themselves is totally my thing. I have run groups for many years, I am in clinical supervision and committed to working with a diversity and trauma-informed framework to ensure groups are safe fun and growthful spaces.
- My mission is to help people face the big questions in their work lives. The time we have on earth is limited and so living our lives with purpose has huge benefits for our families, our relationships, our community, ours systems and ultimately the planet.
-This coaching programme is designed around my step by step ‘Do What Makes You Happy’ System to help you become aligned with purpose and create your strategy and plan. I will take you through a creative process of learning and discovery. I will 'hold space' for you and the group to explore, learn, discover and generate new and exciting ideas. You will put new ideas into action and take the next step - whatever that is for you. Most importantly you will become really clear on what gets in your way and how you sabotage your own happiness and success.
Each month’s workshop will pull on elements of my Do What Make You Happy System for example:
What's your next chapter?
Putting Purpose into Action – make a plan and get going
Working with your imposter syndrome and limiting beliefs
How to find your Flow
Leadership, Creative Thinking and Derailing Shame
Self Sabotage and Networking
Money and Self Worth
Dealing with caring and time dilemmas and constraints

Your Second Act is the time for re-invention; a particular stage or moment in our life cycle when the desire and possibly the opportunity comes together for personal and/or professional re-invention. It comes at a particular juncture in our life cycle - a very personal moment when you sense somewhere inside you that it’s time for change in a fundamental way - a ‘what the hell is NEXT? moment.
The Second Act is a time for transformation - not so much as a side step, but more of a leap up and out to somewhere else. A leap out into something or somewhere that you’re not quite sure how you will do it but you know it’s time.
This moment is unique to all of us but it can be determined not only by important life events happening - expected or unexpected, but also by important shifts in our awareness or personal consciousness.
It’s the time in your life when little internal voices have become a bit louder and you’ve realised that you are not getting any younger and it is time to face these fears and see if your ideas have ‘legs’.
The Second Act is the moment when you feel like you have had enough of what you have ‘been’, you want to shed some skin and grow into a new identity
Interestingly women give this moment a series of common names. They talk about this moment as a feeling of plateauing - a moment where the future feels unclear; there’s no clear sense of direction or the possibility of going back, but moving forward seems baffling.
Others talk about their Second Act as a moment where they experience a new sense of clarity and perspective - knowing that they just cannot carry on with the path they are on any more.
In many cases women describe this as a moment when we realise we’ve served others needs or expectations for a long time, when we may have subsumed our own identity or when our sense of self has gone or been outgrown. It is a powerful moment of realisation when women notice how they put their needs to the bottom of the pile, when they realise their life has been focused on others expectations, or a relationship isn’t feeding them anymore; when a break-up might be imminent or when a health scare wakes us up to the fact that life is short and time is ticking. Second Acts can come at the point when kids are about to complete their exams or leave home and suddenly this initial phase of mothering is done and there is time and space ahead but no clear sense of direction or purpose.
It’s a moment when women see that there can be very real barriers and obstacles that they will face in shaking up their own system and that these will need to be faced, explored, understood and disarmed in order to move through what’s holding them back.
Finally it’s the next and new chapter - a time when YOU get to decide – not your parents, school, partner, family, community or society – but the time in your life when you stand up and say it’s my time to do what I want to do. When it’s time to embody a renewed sense of self and re-find the next true nature of what is wanted or needed for happiness health satisfaction wealth and contentment; to morph into the next incarnation, the next iteration, the next layer of the onion.

Not at all. What you do need is a positive intention to start to explore ideas and do the work that will help you move into your Second Act.
The course is designed as a process and a journey. It is the journey that will be useful to go on - you might not necessarily know what the destination will look like yet. The course is designed so that you get an opportunity and space to think about and answer incisive questions about your Second Act - how you would like your work life to be. I will lead you through a process that will open up ideas and thinking. Whatever you come on the programme with will be exactly the right place for you to be.

The course is 12 sessions long over 6 months. There is a monthly in-person group workshop in Forest Gate

In addition to this there will be a course community Whats App group where I will send materials and you can use this to check-in with questions and progress of your fellow participants.
-
Once you have signed up for the course and paid your deposit I will send you a short email with a short participant questionnaire. I will ask you to briefly explain what it is you want from coming on the course and where you are in your work life now. This will help me to understand the starting point for you.
I will also include my usual coaching contractual stipulations in the email such as my safeguarding and payment policies and my groundrules for good work together. You will sign to say you’ve received and understood all of this and we will discuss all of this in the first session too.
Finally I will also send you the detailed programme for the 6 months ahead - just so you can get really excited :)

This course is open to any and all women. Inclusivity is very important to me so I aim to provide a space where women of all backgrounds feel welcome. What is very important is that you connect with the information on here about the course and that it somehow describes where you find yourself to be in life and that you feel ready for your exploration of your Second Act. The course is for any women that feels a ‘YES thats me!’ or anyone who is feeling stuck, lacking purpose or direction and wants to get that spark back. I am known as someone who works with creative processes as a way to unlock ideas and new ways forward. I make no assumption about who will be attracted to the course and what your background will be. I will use creative tasks to uncover information and ideas but ALL of my methods are designed with no artistic background needed.
